"Killing the Rising Sun" by Bill O'Reilly, on CD, is what's currently occupying my time. Got it for Christmas.

Damn good read. Not for the faint of heart or easily upset, though. It contains VERY graphic descriptions of the realities of war, and doesn't hold back from the horror of the situation.

I do recommend it highly, though, it's fascinating stuff, and a very well written book. The stuff about the Manhattan project is really interesting and I never knew most of it.

Just finished the prefered text edition of Neverwhere from Neil Gaiman. And since the next book for the Dresden Files still isn't out I've been reading the short stories.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Dresden Files, you should check out Sandman Slim if you like the modern fantasy/weird hidden world type books

I need a new fantasy series to sink my teeth into. Any recommendations?

My favorites are malazan book of the fallen, wheel of time, song of ice and fire, etc etc.

Have you tried the Kingkiller chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss?
The two books so far (The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear) are really good.
